What we did.
For this project we were giving a element in our body, and we had to show how the body uses homeostasis to regulate that element. Our group blood pressure. So our experiment we ran was that we would have three test subjects run certain amounts and calucalte there blood pressures before, after, and after a five minute cool down. The data was pretty accurate. And it was really cool seeing how it we were able to record this.
Our project.

Concepts
Homeostasis- the body's way of maintaining a stable and consistent environment
Blood pressure- the pressure of the blood in the circulatory system
Sympathetic input- a part of the nervous system that accelerates the heartrate, constricts blood vessels, and increases blood pressure
Parasympathetic input- a part of the nervous system that counters adrenaline and norepinephrine to lower blood pressure
Adrenal medulla- the part of the adrenal gland that secretes hormones that regulate blood pressure
Adrenaline- a hormone that increases blood circulation and breathing rate
Norepinephrine- a hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter
Acetylcholine- a compound that occurs throughout the nervpus system as a neurotransmitter

Reflection
I felt a little lost atfirst because Ms.Mathews moved me from my original group at first. :(( But once I moved and learned what we were doing the project went by very smoothely. And I think the best part was that I learned stuff instead of it just blowing past my head then taking the tst. I think this project was very fun and I loved everyminute of it. I feel like we could have had more time to finess our poster, but we were pressed for time due to the fact that the blood pressure monite was in and out of the classroom, but otherwise this project went pretty smoothe and I liked it alot.
